Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corporation was founded by H.S. Wu in 1967, later was joint ventured by Toray Industries. Inc. and Mitsubishi Corporation Co., Ltd. The initial capital was NT $160 million, and by the end of 2005, it increased to NT $13.3 billion, which was the category 1 stock company in the TSEC. The total number of employees is 2,300 with more than 120,000 shareholders and NT $29.9 billion assets. The company finished construction in May 1970 and began operation. Through many times of expansion, there are now three main factories in Taiwan with the total area of about 444,000 square meters, and produce 1300 tons of polyester products per day. Additionally, there are manufacturing factories in China and Thailand. Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corporation is the main producers of polyester fibers and plastics. Our products include textured filament yarn, POY, polyester staple fiber, industrial yarn, polyester chips, PET bottle grade resin, PET bottles, PET preform , engineering polymer and its compounded plastics, polyester film, optical grade films and A-PET sheet.
